Program Director, LTSS Value Based and Workforce Initiatives 

Location:  This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Program Director, LTSS Value Based and Workforce Initiatives position is part of the national Long-Term Services & Supports (LTSS) Center of Excellence and is responsible for the development and ongoing management the Elevance Health value based program and incentives; and workforce development initiatives aligned to LTSS provider types that are multi-state, multi-function and multi-year in scope. Program directors typically support business strategies through an integrated portfolio of external client facing programs, projects and initiatives. This leader will establish the strategic vision for deployment and oversight of these LTSS initiatives. 

How you will make an impact:

  • Directs the development, planning, prioritization, approval, implementation and compliance of on-going LTSS provider facing programs. 

  • In partnership with the Elevance Health payment innovations team, evaluates the portfolio of LTSS value based initiatives across the Elevance Health enterprise and makes recommendations to improve or revise these programs in order to increase utilization of value based programs.

  • Develops and maintains oversight of Elevance Health’s national LTSS workforce development strategy. 

  • Supports local healthplan workforce development leads in identifying opportunities for improving state based workforce development plans and increasing capacity of the direct care workforce. 

  • Establishes program governance when needed to assure response to issue escalation; develops program budget and ensures program meets its stated objectives. Provides subject matter expertise in response to day to day business issues; researches applicable subject matter practices; and remains aware of industry trends related to LTSS providers and service settings. 

  • Develops communication documents and training criteria related to provider facing program success measures. 

  • Develops documentation to support meeting presentations and the tracking and reporting of the programs success. 

  • Provides leadership to program managers and project managers. 

  • Typically reports to an executive. 

  • Program directors typically manage external client facing programs that require managing activities and resources of multiple departments or business areas of the organization. 


Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years experience in external client facing program management, project management; complex business processes, strategic and business planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • MBA preferred. 

  • Project management certification (PMP) preferred.

  • Experience implementing LTSS value based programs preferred.

  • Experience partnering with LTSS providers towards addressing workforce gaps preferred. 

  • Knowledge of Medicaid and LTSS delivery models highly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $99,144 to $206,550
