GRS Sales Acct Executive III - Group Retiree Solutions  

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed on the requisition.

 

The GRS Sales Acct Executive III is responsible for the identification, development and sale of new business Group Retiree health plans to large and JUMBO group commercial, public sector plan sponsors and Unions/Trust plan sponsors in assigned markets. Responsible for working to prospect, cultivate and win the largest and most complete retiree opportunities across Anthem ANA, L&T and Large / Strategic local Commercial Accounts. Provides overall leadership in GRS sales and mentorship to more junior and smaller group GRS SAEs.

 

How you will make an impact:

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with leading health care consultants and brokers throughout assigned markets.

  • Partners closely with assigned Commercial Sales and/or Account Management teams to promote and educate targets and prospects as the group retiree SME on Anthem's Group Retiree capabilities.

  • Executes Anthem's group retiree sales strategy in partnership with Commercial new business sales (AE's) and Account Management (AM's) teams to identify opportunities and coordinate proposals and quoting activities.

  • Partners with Commercial Sales and Account Management teams and internal stakeholders to drive go-to-market strategy and growth plans and expand Anthem's group retiree market visibility, membership and operating income.

  • Contributes to thinking and market insights to the strategic direction of Anthem's Group Retiree business, helping to refine product offerings and the Group Retiree value proposition.

  • As a Group Retiree SME, educates internal Anthem Sales and Account Management teams and external producers (Broker and Consultants) and target plan sponsors on Anthem's group retiree product offering, capabilities and group retiree health care solutions.

  • Actively participates in sales team meetings focused on RFP pipeline management, target prospects and producer firm activities.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS in business or related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience in group retiree (Medicare) benefit sales; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Requires current license with Department of Insurance.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Proven medical health insurance plans, broker sales, and retention experience most notably in group retiree sales is highly preferred.

  • Experience in building strong internal and external relationships with key teams/stakeholders preferred.

  • Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making.

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, MS Teams and Salesforce strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $102,900 to $183,750
